The process starts with a free in-home measure. We check the stringers for movement, confirm rise and run are consistent, and note guard heights against current Ontario Building Code requirements. Treads and risers are then milled to your exact dimensions in our shop, so the on-site phase is installation and finishing rather than construction — the reason most projects wrap in one to three days.
Beyond finishes, refacing is where the biggest visual change happens: replacing spindles with frameless glass, converting closed risers to open, or capping the flight with three-inch solid oak. Each option is quoted separately so you can stage the work over time.
